Reports, maps, scenario's
Since the start of NSE, we have published multiple reports, white papers, scenario's, maps and roadmaps highlighting the main outcomes and key learning of our research.
Our recent publications focus on three virtual offshore energy clusters, where we explore innovative concepts for the production, conversion, transport, and storage of offshore energy. Through unique visualisations and energy system modelling, we demonstrate the key role of the North Sea in achieving an independent and affordable energy system in an integrated way.
The scenarios and maps underline the importance of offshore wind, hydrogen production, CO₂ storage, and the phase-out of natural gas for the future energy system of the Netherlands and Europe. The roadmaps outline the exploratory national and European pathways to get there, while additional reports and white papers provide insights from various integrated perspectives.

Find what matters to you
North Sea Energy brings together years of research, insights and expertise. But finding the information that matters to your question — and turning it into something you can actually use — can take time.
BINDit helps you collect relevant insights and sources in your own BINDer, add a policy perspective and adapt the result to the language and level of your audience.

Roadmaps
The North Sea Energy roadmap presents integrated transition pathways for offshore wind, marine energy, hydrogen, CCS, and natural gas towards 2050. Based on a participatory process with stakeholders and aligned with national and European ambitions, it identifies the key actions for Europe and the Netherlands needed to accelerate offshore energy system integration and provide clarity for policymakers, developers, and society.
